We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in a permanent full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide evidence-based, high-quality patient care.

About the Role

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will utilise your advanced clinical knowledge and decision-making skills to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients across a variety of healthcare settings. You will play a key leadership role in delivering safe, effective and patient-focused care while supporting improved health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and formulate clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and management plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within your endorsed scope of practice.
  • Request and interpret diagnostic investigations.
  • Provide health education, preventative care and health promotion initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with GPs, specialists, allied health professionals and nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
  • Demonstrate leadership, mentoring and clinical support to nursing staff where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, professional standards and organisational policies.

Essential Selection Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications, including an accredited Master of Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Working with Children Check (where applicable).
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
  • Full Australian working rights.

Desirable

  • Experience working in primary care, community health, aged care, rural or acute care settings.
  • Experience using electronic medical record systems.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
